KVKK Clarification Text

Dermoderm values the privacy and security of our customers' personal data in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Law (KVKK) No. 6698.

1. Data Controller

Your personal data is processed by DERMODERM (Göztepe Tax Office, Tax Identification Number: 9020696566 — Address: Dumlupınar Mahallesi Yumurtacı Abdibey Cad. Concort İstanbul No:15 İç Kapı No:79 Kadıköy/İstanbul) as the data controller pursuant to the Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698.

2. What Data Is Processed?

The following personal data may be collected through membership, order, and contact forms on our website:

  • Name, surname
  • Email address
  • Phone number
  • Delivery and billing addresses
  • Payment information (excluding card number)
  • IP address, device information, browser activity
  • If you request a corporate invoice: company title, tax office and tax identification number (VKN); if you are a sole proprietorship, Turkish Republic ID number and, upon request, invoice email address

3. Purposes of Processing

Your personal data is processed for the following purposes:

  • Creation and delivery of orders
  • Execution of customer service operations
  • Execution of invoicing and recording processes
  • Issuance of e-Archive / e-Invoice and fulfillment of retention obligations arising from tax legislation
  • Marketing and campaign notifications (if you have given consent)
  • Website performance tracking and improvements

Your personal data is collected electronically through automated methods via membership, order, and contact forms on our website and cookies, and is processed based on the legal grounds of establishment or performance of a contract, fulfillment of the data controller's legal obligation, and legitimate interests as regulated in Article 5 of the KVKK.

Your corporate invoice information (company title, tax office, VKN or TCKN) is processed solely for the purpose of issuing an invoice in your/your company's name, based on our legal obligation arising from the Tax Procedure Law and relevant communiqués, and pursuant to Articles 5/2-a (explicitly provided for in laws) and 5/2-ç (legal obligation) of the KVKK. Your explicit consent is not required for this processing. Tax/ID numbers are not requested for individual orders. Marketing activities are based on your explicit consent.

4. Data Transfer and Shopify Infrastructure

Our website provides services using the Shopify e-commerce infrastructure. Shopify's servers are located abroad. Therefore, the personal data you provide within the scope of orders and membership is transferred abroad through the Shopify infrastructure.

Your data is shared only with the parties below, to the extent required by the service and in compliance with the KVKK:

  • Shopify (e-commerce infrastructure provider — abroad)
  • Payment institutions and cargo companies
  • Our e-Transformation (e-Invoice / e-Archive) integrator and accounting / marketplace integration platform
  • Our financial advisor and, when legally required, the Revenue Administration and other authorized public institutions and organizations
  • Technical support and software service providers

5. Retention Period

Your invoices and accounting records are retained for the periods prescribed by law pursuant to our obligations arising from the Tax Procedure Law and the Turkish Commercial Code (five years for tax purposes, ten years for commercial books and documents). Your other personal data is retained for the period necessary for the purpose for which it is processed and until the end of the limitation periods prescribed in the relevant legislation; upon expiration of the period, it is deleted, destroyed, or anonymized.

6. Information Security

We store the information you provide us on secure computer servers protected against unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. We implement reasonable administrative, technical, and physical security measures to provide a controlled and secure environment.

7. Your Rights Under the KVKK

Pursuant to Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the following rights:

  • To learn whether your personal data is being processed
  • If processed, to request information about it
  • If incompletely or incorrectly processed, to request correction
  • Within the framework of legal conditions, to request deletion or destruction
  • To receive information about data transferred abroad
  • To object to analyses carried out by automated systems
